"Emergence"

The Emergence Collection was designed whilst infected with Covid19. During this time bacterial swabs were taken and grown in Petri dishes. These were then photographed and digitally manipulated to create the bold prints. When creating the prints I wanted to mirror living through a time of uncertainty with the hope of a better future. Two years on and having recovered from an extended case of long covid CLAED is now ready to gradually release the Emergence Collection.

The "OPPOSED" collection aims to carry political awareness to the fore- front, fashion is a powerful way to speak out and therefore fit to be used to communicate a political agenda. The collection was created with inspiration from Brexit protests. It includes a mix of everyday wear garments along with less conventional pieces that have taken influence from torn connections, politician’s lies and referendum maps and charts.
